Alberts Elected to National Biodiesel Board Leadership

Troy Alberts, AGP Senior Vice President for Refined Oils & Renewable Fuels, was elected to the leadership of the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) in St. Louis, MO at the organization’s November meeting.  Alberts will now serve as one of fifteen elected leaders to NBB’s Governing Board, which sets policy and direction for the national trade association representing U.S. biodiesel producers and blenders.

“The biodiesel industry has faced some difficult challenges the past couple of years, but with strong NBB leadership, determination, and the dedication of the association membership, success was achieved and the industry has continued to grow,” Alberts said in his election speech.  “AGP has invested a significant amount of capital in the biofuels industry.  We share a vision of growth and sustainability for renewable fuels, and believe our industry is well-positioned for the future.”

AGP is a leader in the U.S. biodiesel industry and currently operates three biodiesel production facilities in Algona, IA, St. Joseph, MO, and Sergeant Bluff, IA.
